Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a scheme that offers fundamental dental services for children aged 2 to 17. It encompasses a $1,000 cap over two consecutive calendar years. The two-year cap initiates upon the child’s first eligible dental service. Covered services include examinations, X-rays, cleanings, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals, extractions, and partial dentures.
The CDBS does not cover orthodontic or cosmetic dental work, or any dental services administered in a hospital setting.
